Homemade cakes, hot freshly made soup, sandwiches, light bites and afternoon teas, great tea and coffee and Shmoo milkshakes all made to order in a friendly cafe where you can relax, refresh and revive.

The Bake House is where to come when you want to have quality time for yourself, or a cosy catch-up with friends. We’re family-friendly with a dedicated menu for children – including sandwiches, babycinos and more. We’re also dog friendly with free water for all four-legged friends and doggie treats available at the counter. We’re proud to support local and independent producers and suppliers, including bakeries, butchers and artisan coffee roasters.

Pastries and bread

Thatchers Bakery has been in Stockport as long as the Eiffel Tower has been in Paris. The fifth generation of the Thatchers family now runs the bakery and make the best loaf you’ll ever eat!

 

Sizzling sausages, crispy bacon and tantalising turkey

Our meat comes from HG Beard Butchers in Bramhall where we know it has been locally sourced and excellently prepared. (soon changing its name to Montgomery’s)

 

Cheesy does it

Our cheeses, milks and creams all come from Dunsters Farm in Bury who source milk from local farms. Just like The Bake House, this company is independently owned and family run.

 

Latte, Espresso, Cappuccino, a Flat White or Americano?

We brew each cup of coffee to order and make it just how you like it. Our coffee comes from Glasgow’s Matthew Algie which is the first coffee roaster in the world to achieve the Carbon Neutral gold standard. The blend we use is certified by the Rainforest Alliance and is both Organic and FairTrade.

 

That first cuppa in the morning? Game changer!

Which is why we serve Teapigs tea. Not only is this an outstanding cuppa, but Teapigs also makes sure its tea is from sustainable estates and it was the 1st tea company to be certified Plastic-Free.
